My Story - How This All Began
One day while walking the streets near Cal State Northridge, I began to contemplate the message of the major religions. As a result, I came to focus on the impact that Jesus had on the world, as well as, claiming to be the Messiah. Jesus’ positive impact on the world seemed to be unparalleled to me. This caused me to further question his crucifixtion, The Resurrection and then Jesus as The Christ (Messiah). Originally perplexed, I came to question, “Why did they kill him?” Led by the Holy Spirit, I came to understand and began repeating, "Oh my God, Jesus is exactly who He said He was - The Son of God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God." Uncontrollable tears and joy filled my entire body, as I continued to walk the streets receiving Christ, on May 9th.
My conversion experience has typified my current relationship with God, by studying the Word, with deep appreciation of worship and praise, (1John 2:27, John 14:26, John 16:13-15, 2Timothy 2:15) and constantly challenging the truth of the Bible. I believe my life is now growing in God's hands to use in whatsoever manner is pleasing to Him (2 Timothy 1:7-9), and to God has always been and will always be the Glory...Selah.
Most of my biblical discipleship and learning has been under the ministries of Bishop David Thomas, Dr. EuGene Scott, Jack Hayford, Josh McDowell, Bill Gothard, Dr. David Jeremiah, John MacArthur, Joyce Meyers, and Dr. Dorothy Evans. I also credit influences in my life to Darryl Claiborne, Robin Hayden, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and J Vernon McGee, as well as, hundreds of books, tapes and pamphlets.
